Soisson, Douglas E., age 74, of New Castle, formerly of Moon Township, passed away on Saturday, March 1, 2025. He was the beloved husband of 46 years of the late Patricia E. (Coyle) Soisson; proud father of Scott (Jennifer) Soisson, Kimberly (Aaron) Closuit, Jonathan (the late Ashley) Soisson and the late Brian Soisson; dear grandfather of Lt. Evan Soisson, Ryan Soisson, Maya Soisson, Aden Trauterman, Clara Closuit, Jay Trauterman, Gracie Closuit, Layla Closuit, Axel Closuit, Zachery Douglas Soisson, Nathan Scott Soisson, Lauren Marie Soisson, Alison Grace Soisson and Megan Ashley Soisson; brother of the late William and Jean; brother-in-law of Edward "Stu” Coyle. Doug was a very devoted husband, father and countryman who wholeheartedly believed in family and country. He served in the U. S. Air Force/Air National Guard for 35 years, retiring at the rank of Chief Master Sergeant. Doug was one who would never say "no” to anyone in need. He was a true mechanic who could fix anything from an engine to something around the house! In his free time, he enjoyed playing bass and brass, a truly talented musician.  Friends will be received at R. D. Copeland, Ltd., 867 Fifth Avenue, Coraopolis, PA 15108 on Thursday from 2 – 8 pm, where a funeral prayer will be held on Friday at 9 am followed by a Funeral Mass in St. Joseph Church at 9:30 am. Burial with full military honors will be in Resurrection Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to The Veterans' Trust Fund through the PA Dept. of Military
