  Nancy Morrow Obituary
 
Nancy Ann Morrow, 76, a life-long resident of Moon Township, passed away on Wednesday, January 8, 2025, at UPMC Presbyterian, after a yearlong battle with ALS, that she was so determined to beat! Nancy was born in Sewickley on October 2, 1948, one of four children to the late William H. and Grace L. (Halter) Morrow. Nancy is the beloved sister of William H. Morrow of Beaver, sister-in-law of Karen Morrow of Brighton, Cheryl L. Savage (James) of Raccoon Township, , and Alan L. Morrow (Karen) of Moon Township;  adored aunt of Alanna Oros (Brad), William A. Morrow (Samantha), Devan Savage, Matthew Morrow (Shelva), and Lindsay Morrow; also 6 great nieces and nephews. Nancy was always involved and a take charge person. She was a member of the Ladies Auxiliary of VFW Post 402 where she had served as President three times, was Past President of District 29 of the VFW, and served in various Veteran Organizations in our state of Pennsylvania. A Charter Member, she was a faithful member of St. Margaret Mary Church. She began her career in food service first as a car hop at Eat N Park, and worked her way up through promotions to manager of Eat N Park. She also had been manager for Pappan’s Restaurant and retired as manager for King’s Family Restaurant. Nancy loved to fish at Pymatuning, was known to enjoy a trip or two to the Casinos; enjoyed ocean cruising and was always calling Bingo at her beloved VFW. Visitation Sunday, Jan. 12th) from 2-7 PM at Copeland’s Moon township, 981 Brodhead RD. where prayers will be recited on Monday (Jan. 13th) at 9:30 AM followed by Mass at Most Sacred Heart of Jesus Parish, St. Margaret Mary Church at 10 AM. Burial will be private at Resurrection Cemetery. In lieu of flowers and in honor of her devotion to VFW Post 402, the family suggests donations to the VFW in her name.
 
Nancy O’Kelly, age 87, of Glenfield, passed away on Saturday, January 18, 2025. She was the beloved wife of 58 years of the late Marion "Boyd” O’Kelley; loving mother of Terri (David) Runyan, Lisa (Keith) Ziegler and Sean (Kristine) O’Kelley; sister of the late Carl "Sonny” Perry. Also survived by 8 grandchildren and 4 great grandchildren. Nancy was a 1955 graduate of Perry High School, growing up in the East Street valley. She was a payroll clerk at the Sewickley Hospital for 40 years and was a longtime member of St. Paul’s Lutheran Church originally in Glenfield and then in Sewickley. Nancy held various offices with the Sewickley and district VFW Ladies Auxiliary.  In her past time, she loved Bingo and her Pittsburgh Steelers!  Friends received Monday 2 – 4 & 6 – 8 pm at R. D. Copeland, Ltd., Irvine Chapel, 702 Beaver Street, Sewickley. A Funeral Service will be celebrated on Tuesday at 10 am in St. Paul’s Lutheran Church, 616 Washington St, Sewickley (EVERYONE PLEASE MEET AT CHURCH). In Lieu of flowers, the family request donations in Nancy’s name be made to St. Paul’s Lutheran Church.

MEETINGS

Auxiliary meetings are held the 2nd Thursday of each month at 7:00 Pm on the second floor of the VFW.  Next meeting is April 11, 2024.  Social Hour at 6:30pm.
