Our Services Memorial on the corner of 5th and Mulberry, which was installed in the 70’s, has become a victim of weather and time. Our current members have assessed the value in repairing and decided replacing with an updated monument would be safer, easier to maintain, and more inclusive.
Our new Veterans War Memorial Park will offer a fully interactive memorial park honoring all 6 branches of the United States Military Services, which have served during war time at home or abroad. Our goal is to honor the roots of the VFW and the eight major military focuses since WW1. The base around the monument will be made up of three sizes of bricks which can be engraved with a personal dedication.
Bricks may be purchased by individuals or businesses. All
funds raised will be used for the construction and upkeep of the new monument,
refurbishing our WW1 Dough-Boy, and furthering the memory of all veterans who
have served.
